Giggs in line for new deal

Manchester United chief executive David Gill has confirmed the club plan to address Ryan Giggs' contract situation in the coming months.

The Welsh wizard, who is approaching his 20th senior year with the Red Devils, is out of contract at the end of the season.

The 37-year-old has proved once again age is no barrier this season with a number of fine displays and it seems manager Sir Alex Ferguson is not ready to lose his services just yet.

Gill insists Giggs' deal will be looked at and he would not be surprised to see the club legend extend his Old Trafford stay by another 12 months.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he extends his contract for another season," explained Gill. "That will be addressed in the next month or so.

"He has been playing well, keeps himself in great shape and is a wonderful advert for the modern footballer."
