Neville warning for Chelsea

Gary Neville has warned Chelsea that Manchester United are exactly where they want to be in the Premier League title race.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side returned to the top of the table on Saturday after demolishing Portsmouth at Old Trafford, although Chelsea could overtake them if they defeat Arsenal.

And with the Blues still to visit Old Trafford on 3rd April, veteran defender Neville is in a confident mood.

He said: "It is in our hands now and it has not been like that for a while.

"Chelsea have to come here and that is where we want to be. We want to win our home games."

Neville is also full of praise for team-mate Wayne Rooney, who produced another dazzling goalscoring display in the thrashing of Pompey.

He said: "Wayne was in the right position at the right time after a great ball by (Darren) Fletcher. He is having a great season and is a fantastic player for us.

"I hope Wayne continues like this until the end of the season because we are going to need him. The most important thing is he is scoring vital goals."

Meanwhile, Neville believes that Nani is finally beginning to find his form after taking a long time to settle at United.

Neville said: "Nani and Antonio (Valencia) were a real threat every time they got down the wings (against Portsmouth).

"Nani is now making the right decisions. It is so difficult to stay with a player like him as he is so quick. He can go either way. He is coming on in leaps and bounds."
