 Pre-season tour tickets....
Just curious regarding this issue. For pre-season tours, do One United members or ST holders have a certain amount allocated separately for them?
I.e if United is visiting North America, I'm sure the club must have a certain number of tickets kept aside for the traveling United supporters?
Or do traveling United supporters have to buy it from the same sources that the local Americans or Canadians will be buying it from?
And if there is an allocation for One United members and/or ST holders, what sort of pricing are they charged? I'm imagining it is going to be significantly less than the mental sort of prices the fans within the States are charged? Estimates are United tickets for the games in the U.S and Canada will be extremely expensive and well in the US$200 range.
I'm asking cause if ST holders and or One United members have it much cheaper, I'd rather just sign upto One United or look around for One United members or ST holders not making the trip who I can buy the tickets from?
Any help or input at all will be appreciated, Thanks a ton!

Hi Zain
It seems to change every year to be honest. Until a few years ago there would have been an allocation for UK based Reds, whcih you would have wanted to be in. But recently in preseasons the club have realised hardly anyone goes, and so they literally get ST holders and members to call the club and state their ticket price of preference. Reds then end up in groups of about 50 only scattered all around in diff tiers dependant on their price preferences. But the tickets are no cheaper- the home team will set them and anyone going pays that price. MU Travel will also probably run trips and all the people going with them will be sat together too.
If it does turn out that there is a traveling Reds allocation then I am happy to apply for you so that you can get the best possible atmosphere. However, as they are pointless matches you often find even the usual hardcore Reds end up watching sat down quietly anyway!

 Re: Pre-season tour tickets....
www.redsaway.co.uk says: United line up Celtic friendly United will face Celtic in a pre-season friendly in Canada on either July 16 or 17, Reds Away sources have revealed. Though the fixture has yet to be confirmed, it is claimed plans will be finalised in the next few days and that the match will take place at the 49,539-capacity Rogers Centre (pictured) in Toronto, Ontario. It would be the reds' first friendly of the 2010 pre-season campaign and would be less than a week after the World Cup final. The second game, already confirmed, will be played on July 29 in Mexico, against Club Deportivo Guadalajara. Both stadiums have artificial surfaces.

Oli Thanks for the info Oli. Yep, that's what I kind of meant actually, if there was any allocation for UK based Reds ..If it does turn out that there is a traveling Reds seating arrangement different to the tickets available locally here, then I'll probably take you up on that offer. Either way, really appreciate the help and the info! Cheers,

Zain, no news of a Utd allocation, so you're probably best off to snap your own up: http://redsaway.blogspot.com/2010/05/ti ... clash.html

 Re: Pre-season tour tickets....
Hey Oli, sorry for the late reply, only saw this now.. yeah, fair enough, Thanks for looking into it though. I reckon I'll have to buy these of ticketmaster then. Ridiculous pricing, but not really got much of an option.. Thanks again..
