I've made a few changes to the main site, it still needs a little bit of work but where there's a related news article, I'm now displaying the latest ten posts from that topic at the bottom of the article:

For example:
http://www.unitedonline.co.uk/news-and- ... hp?id=3408

At some point I would like to integrate this further so that when I post a news article to the main site it automatically creates a new forum topic which also allows people to post directly from the main site.

It still needs some work as I don't want to display posts with quotes in or images in on the main site so there's still some changes I need to make and to get this working exactly the way I want will take some time but I thought I'd just let you know about the changes I'm making

This feature should now be working better as I've disabled any posts that contain images or links and have also filtered out posts with swear words (I don't mind in the forum but thought it might be a bit too unprofessional having it on the main site)

Haha, it's entirely up to you. If you want your posts to appear on the main site though then it's probably a good idea
